👣 What You Will Experience

Your journey begins in the morning as you enter the rainforest with your licensed local guide. As you walk along jungle trails, you will discover the diverse wildlife of the park: wild orangutans, gibbons, Thomas leaf monkeys, hornbills, peacocks, monitor lizards, and many more. With more time to trek compared to shorter tours, you can explore deeper areas of the jungle where fewer people go, increasing your chance to spot rare species.

During the day, you’ll enjoy short breaks with fresh fruits and a tasty jungle lunch prepared by your guide. Along the way, your guide will also explain the unique plants, trees, and traditional jungle survival skills.

In the late afternoon, you will arrive at your jungle campsite located near a small river or waterfall. Here, you can relax, swim in the refreshing water, or simply enjoy the peace of the rainforest. In the evening, your guides will prepare a delicious Indonesian dinner. At night, fall asleep to the calming sounds of the jungle — the calls of insects, frogs, and maybe even distant gibbons.

The next morning, after breakfast at the camp, you will continue trekking through different jungle paths. The walk is usually easier on the second day, giving you time to fully enjoy the forest. The trek ends with a choice: walk back through the forest or take an exciting tubing ride down the river back to Bukit Lawang.
